FAQ

What kind of gold investments does KREMAR offer?
KREMAR offers its customers 999.9 fine investment gold bars (24 carats) weighing from 1 gram to 1 kilogram. All bars have a LBMA quality certificate. We also offer the world's most popular investment gold coins, weighing 1/10 oz (3.1 g).
What is the LBMA quality certificate?
The best-known global standard for precious metal bars is London Good Delivery, approved by London Bullion Market Association (LBMA).
Good Delivery status is assigned to standard bars of excellent quality, with a high degree of fineness and the hallmark of a reputable manufacturer accredited by LBMA.
The accredited refinery by LBMA, LBMA certified and listed on the List of Acceptable Melters and Assayers, has the right to produce and brand Good Delivery bars. The fact that the refinery is on the list of approved suppliers by LBMA is an unconditional confirmation of the high quality and liquidity of the refinery's bullion in the international market.
The Good Delivery List for gold includes more than 60 manufacturers from 26 countries.
Does KREMAR sell bars of its own manufacture?
Currently, KREMAR doesn't have the capacity to produce precious metal bars. Our mission is to enable our customers to purchase precious metals at attractive prices.
KREMAR offers its customers 999.9 fine investment gold bars from various LBMA accredited manufacturers. All bars are manufactured to the highest standards of LBMA, have an international quality certificate and are packed in a blister that protects each bar.
What should be indicated on an investment gold bar?
The following marking elements are mandatory on the outer surface of the gold bar:
  • nominal mass of the bar in grams;
  • the serial number of the bar;
  • the fineness of the precious metal (four digits);
  • manufacturer's mark according to the LBMA standard.
There should be no pores, indentations, burrs, foreign metal inclusions or other mechanical damage on the surface of the bar. The bar must have the correct shape and be easy to transport and store.
Each bar must be clearly and legibly marked on the front. The imprint of the inscriptions on the bars can be convex or depressed, depending on the bar manufacturing technology.
It's not allowed to merge letters and numbers in the mark, as well as to make corrections. It's allowed to put the trademark or other symbols of the customer on the surface of the bar by agreement with the manufacturer.
What is a troy ounce?
The troy ounce is the standard unit used to weigh gold and other precious metals. 1 troy ounce is equivalent to 31.1034768 grams (31.1 grams)
How is the price of gold determined?
The price of gold is determined as a result of trading on exchanges. Most of the operations take place in London, which is the historical center of the gold trade, which is associated with a rich colonial past of Great Britain and its status as a world financial center.
London Gold Market Fixing Ltd. was first established on September 12, 1919. The equilibrium price of a precious metal is determined by the main members of the market at a particular time based on the relationship between existing supply and demand.
The LBMA Gold Price Auctions began to take place from March 20, 2015, twice a day at 10:30 am and 3:00 pm London time, replacing the classic gold fixings (London Gold Fix), whose prices before the specified date were determined by the organizing banks. ICE Benchmark Administration (IBA) auction platform is used in the pricing procedure. IBA also provides the negotiation methodology and procedures management. London Bullion Market Association (LBMA) owns the intellectual property rights to LBMA Gold Price.
The operations carried out in the London auctions are the result of the execution of requests from large consumers and gold producers, banks and international investors.

What is 999.9 fineness?
The fineness on precious metals shows the content of the pure substance in the alloy in arbitrary units of the total mass, the remainder is the master alloy (the rest of the metals in the alloy, in addition to the assayed metal).
According to this value, a 1 kg bar contains 999.9 grams of pure precious metal. It's the highest indicator of all existing ones. This imprint is placed on metals classified as precious and don't contain master alloy.
Metal with such an assay contains impurities, but not more than 1 gram per kilogram, only one tenth of a percentage. It's the maximum purity that modern processing (refining) methods allow to obtain, which is why it's conventionally considered pure gold. 999.9 fine corresponds to 24 carats.
